Catholics believe the Eucharist, or Communion, is both a sacrifice and a meal. We believe in the real presence of Jesus, who died for our sins. As we receive Christ’s Body and Blood, we also are nourished spiritually and brought closer to God.
Please see Mass Times for opportunites to receive the Eucharist.
For ministry to the sick and the homebound, please contact the Parish Office.
Preparation to receive First Communion is a two-year program beginning in Grade one. Older children will be accommodated, but still must attend classes for two years before the sacraments can be received.
First Communion is available for children in grade 2 or older who have completed the First Reconciliation program.
A child or youth must be currently enrolled in a parish Religious Education program or a Catholic School and have completed one year of Religious Education the previous year. The parent orientation meeting is held in January and a parent/child session follows with the sacramental celebrations scheduled after Easter.
For further information regarding scheduling and planning, please contact the parish office.
